Ingredients
- Filling:
- -250g whole-milk ricotta cheese
- -125g powdered sugar (about 1 cup)
- -1 teaspoon lemon zest
- -½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- -100g (1/2 cup) whipping cream/double cream
- Cannoli Cups:
- -Pie crusts
- -3 tablespoons sugar
- -1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Garnish:
- -¼ cup chopped chocolate or pistachios
- -Powdered sugar
Directions
- Step 1
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 190°C(375°F).
- Step 2
- Prepare the Cannoli Cups: Roll out the pie crusts on a lightly floured surface. Cut into circles or the desired shape to fit into a muffin tin. Sprinkle each crust with sugar and ground cinnamon. Press the dough into the muffin tin molds, making sure it forms a cup shape.

- Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the cups are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely.
- Step 4
- Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with the powdered sugar, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined. Add the double cream and whip about 3mins until smooth consistency.
- Step 5
- Assemble the Cannoli Cups: Once the cannoli cups have cooled, spoon or pipe the ricotta filling into each cup. Garnish with chocolate or chopped pistachios. Dust lightly with additional powdered sugar for a finishing touch.
